Using her knowledge of Somatic-Psychopedagogy techniques, fascia therapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine, lymphatic and aromatherapy techniques, and spa treatments, along with specific massages, she has created a holistic method of healing, in which she encourages the release of toxins (caused by stress, injury, or blocked emotions) in order to rebalance the body. Stéphanie has cultivated a substantial client base in the cities she travels to frequently: Geneva, Paris, Istanbul, New York and Miami.
Stéphanie lives between the French Alps and Miami, Florida, and takes frequent trips to NYC, where she offers her services and is able to pursue all of her passions, including photography.
What is E.Motion Therapy and how does it work?
In each of our bodies, there are rarely-reached depths and hard-to-reveal layers. Within each of these layers, there are knots and adhesions, produced by physical and psychological traumas, which lead to discomfort and pain. The goal of E.Motion Therapy is to help the client remember and reconnect with those layers, bringing their body back to harmony and autonomy.
E.Motion Therapy is a “transversal” method that is inspired by hypnosis, fasciatherapy, Somato Psycho Pedagogical, and bio-energy approaches, which allows for treatment across a wide spectrum of systems and prevents ignoring important information that is being retained in different areas of the body.
Generally a treatment begins with a 20-minutes consultation that allows the E.Motion therapist to become familiar with the client, giving the therapist a small window into the patient’s daily life and those little things that make the patient unique. Next, the patient lays down on the table and the therapist begins the hands-on portion of the treatment by slowly running the therapist hands along the body, from the feet to the head, concentrating on areas where the therapist senses dis-ease.
The hands are able to follow the body’s natural and precise movements, sometimes encouraging those movements in order to aid in reawakening areas that have settled into a state of atrophy. In most cases, relief is noticeable after the first treatment; however, depending on the amount of muscle memory that has to be retrained, as many as 3 treatments may be necessary.
The objective of E.Motion Therapy is to re-energize and reawaken the immune system, reminding the body that its nature is to be in harmony, which means having the mind, the spirit, and all the layers of the physical body in alignment with one another. After treatment, it is commonly observed that each individual leaves with a better perceptual understanding of the inner workings of their body.
